The first one is a troll, drawn by the eminent Norwegian artist Theodor Kittelsen. Ages ago I did some posts on him here (http://baleanoptera.livejournal.com/5705.html#cutid1) and here (http://baleanoptera.livejournal.com/27271.html#cutid1). I dodn't think its a specific troll as such, but more the generic, creepy troll that lives in the woods - or in this case is the woods.

EXACTLY! Summer is supposed to be this time of relaxation. Its practically the definition of summer - and yet I keep working my ass of. There should be some sort of refund system. "This summer didn't perform as requested, and I also think the important weather device is dented, because it seems perpetually stuck on "Extreme!". Can I get my money back please?"
