:-) Actually, I think we've talked before, but I suspect it fizzled out due to a lack of comment notification.
*snorts* Norwegians have national pride? But yes, more Scandinavians is the key.
I've never actually seen Nattevagten; I think I was too scaredy-cat back then and then, well... Also, I've never had any problem seeing actors portray different roles, as long as they have the range. Always thought that whole typecasting thing is weird.
Hee. Mmm, von Trier is... a bit too much for my taste. Yes, Järegård was Scanian, as well. And von Sydow is, too. ;-)
I'm a bit hesitant to re-read them. Probably because there are no new books to look forward too. A silly reason, but there you go.
I don't think the reason is that silly, to be honest... or, at least it's understandable. Perfectly human response to want a continuation if the story is open-ended (unless it's supposed to be open-ended and then, sometimes you still want closure). I'm past half-way into rereading A Game of Thrones now and I never got more than a hundred-odd pages into A Clash of Kings for some reason. But it's as absorbing as I remember. Bleak, too. I think my headspace wasn't that great the first time 'round and also, it was late autumn. Winter is coming, indeed.
