So they can say- "Oooo look, it must be -40 degrees on Queen Maud's land today, I hope Ola has buttoned his jacket an put on his woolen underwear under his super underwear under his windproof something" (It is kind of hard to imagine what amount of clothing -40 degrees demands...)
