The mosaic stuff is just amazing! As mentioned in the post I love mosaics - so I basically grabbed the book the first time I saw "alternative history, mosaics and court intrigue" as plot words. ;) But I would really recommend his other stuff as well. (except not the Viking book, which I've only heard bad things about.)
