Holiday rush

So - I'm somewhat caught in the holiday rush, and subsequently woefully behind on..well I could say LJ, but it's starting to feel like I'm behind on everything.
Not to say that things are bad, just very hectic! In fact very good events have occurred:

+ I got mail! A huge thank you to semyaza and nutmeg3 for wonderful holiday cards!

+ I have published my first, real academic article/paper! The spiffy title:
Barbarossa and Barbablanca - visual rhetoric in Wilhelmine Germany

Like this for instance. This is the center piece from the picture program in Goslar, just south of Hannover.It was also the center piece in my MA thesis.

In the mean time - hugs to everybody who needs hugging and yay to everybody who needs yay-ing!
