A few years ago I reread Astrid Lindgren's "The Brothers Lionheart", "Mio my Son" and "Ronia the Robbers Daughter". Sure those books are fun, but parts of them, especially Lionheart, is also incredibly depressing! Though not as surreal as the Moomin books. I love the Midwinter and Midsummer - Midsummer especially because of the floating theatre and this otherworldly feel.
And excuse me but is that an Empire Record's quote on your Moomin icon, or am I simply hallucinating? (the latter is always a rather large possibility)
