It is awesome! Both the book and the series! Just bear in mind that I grew up with this, so my judgement is pretty much non-objective here. ;) And be sure to check out the music, which is love.
I must say that before Leia or Eowyn or Ripley - there was Ronia. My first female hero. The girl is just wickedly cool, but never ever Mary Sue-ish.
