Jaime quotes
May. 22nd, 2007 10:36 pmI have been rereading ASOIAF and this little text echo struck me:
"A east wind blew through his tangled hair, as soft and fragrant as Cersei's fingers."
- Jaime chapter, Storm of Swords (paperback p. 18)
"Riding at the front of the host with Ser Ilyn silent by his side,
Jaime felt almost content. The sun was warm on his back and the wind riffled through his hair like a woman's fingers"
- Jaime chapter, A Feast for Crows (Hardcover p.395)
Both of them feature Jaime out travelling and reflecting. But no mention of Cersei in the last one huh? Ah Martin, I love your little subtleties.

Date: 2007-05-23 06:42 am (UTC)The fun thing was that I was actually rereading "Feast" and came across that sentence, thought; 'Hmm...this reminds me of something' - and spent the next HOUR looking through the books. ;D
BTW - another thing that struck me, and that wasn't as fun, was the way Cersei in "Feast" kept juxtaposing Jaime and Robert. Once in a conversation with Taena, and later when comparing beards. It might mean nothing of course, but I found it very ominous.
