I've seen rumors about that for a while, but I didn't know it was actually happening--and imdb's status is "completed."

I'm a little sad they're going straight to video, I probably would've seen it in the theater. It might be an awful movie but I think, at least in the U.S., it could get at least some audience that first weekend, if only for nostalgia's sake.

My sentiments exactly! It had death by stereo and other wonderful 80's ness. Hee. Why ruin the memory?

(though I suspect the answer is "because they are desperately trying to revive Corey Feldman's career". ;P)

OMG! The Ikea dispute pretty much made my day! Oh Scandinavia - never change. Hee.
It also seriously reminded me of last years Eurovision dispute where Norwegian papers claimed that the Swedish voters had actively chosen not to vote for the Norwegian contestant, because Sweden was envious of the Norwegian oil money.

Well, judging by the clips in the trailer I can understand the straight-to-video response. ;)

But to be honest I would have preferred that they had left it alone. Nostalgia and all that. :P

Heee. Man, I wish we had the fun equivalent here! I hope that Norway will now vote for Sweden in Eurovision since Ikea gives their second-best stuff Norwegian names! :P

And the Eurovision is just glorious - pure crack, with catty nationalism thrown in.
